ABOUT US


Every great business starts with someone’s story, and I invite you to take a few minutes to read mine. Disciple Masonry’s foundation of hard work and excellent service has been built over the last two decades, and continues to impact our community for good.


School’s out. It was the year 2000, early June, and even as a young teenager I knew I needed something to balance out the freedom of the wide open days ahead. My dad’s simple answer to my request for a job: “Be ready at 7:00 a.m and wear boots!”


I was ready on time, and my dad dropped me off at a local house in Glenside to meet my new boss. That was the day I fell in love with masonry. I will never forget crawling across that first scaffolding plank, questioning my ability to figure this whole thing out. By the end of that job, chest proud and head high, I was walking across that plank with a bucket of bricks in each hand. 


For the next five years, working weekends and summers, I learned the art of being a Mason Tender, skillfully wielding the tools of the trade. After years of apprenticeship, I became a Master Mason, working for multiple outfits, large and small, in various masonry trades. Along the way, I learned to work well with clients and coworkers, while accomplishing company goals. 


Then, in 2014, I started Disciple Masonry. For the first two years, it was often just me and my truck from project start to completion. As my business grew, I realized that providing an excellent experience for all of my customers was a challenge without a team, and I started the next phase of our journey. 


From our first hires of masons and apprentices, to our eventual addition of a full office staff and management team, Disciple’s growth has been fueled by our commitment to an excellent experience and complete satisfaction for our customers.
